Women solo group travel to Morocco

Travel to Morocco

From the snow-capped Atlas Mountains to the vast, beautiful, and serene Sahara Desert, Morocco's diverse landscapes are rugged and beautiful. In the ancient cities, magnificent mosques, busy souks, riads, forts, and castles share hints of a multicultural past and an artistic tradition passed down through generations.

The Sahara

The Sahara Desert’s serene beauty is best experienced on camelback with overnight stays in traditional Berber tents. The desert, at night, offers marvelous views of the star-speckled skies. Awaken at dawn to a spectacular sunrise over the dunes. It’s an experience few will ever forget.

Djemaa el Fna Square

Established in the 11th century as a public execution site, the famous Djemaa el Fna Square evolved, over time, into a lively market. Here traders, snake charmers, storytellers, and tattoo artists gather to trade their wares of tasty snacks and arts and crafts. A maze of busy souk lanes vibrant with colors and aromas surround the square.

Essaouira

Located on the Atlantic coast of Essaouira, this laid-back city dates to the 5th century when it was a Phoenician trading town. It is a haven for artists and musicians. The famous medina is a warren of narrow streets lined by white buildings, and the beaches are perfect for surfing and sailing. The city is renowned for its fresh Moroccan seafood.

Group trips for solo women travelers to Morocco

Morocco on the North African coast enchants visitors with its cultural depth, historical background, and natural beauty. This land stretches from the coastline to the vast mountainous vistas on Atlas Mountain’s peaks and slopes before descending into the enormous Sahara Desert. Morocco's coastline touches the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. It features charming towns like Essaouira and Tangier. These coastal cities boast scenic beaches in fresh, quieter contrast to the bustling inland cities. Renowned for their excellent surfing and sailing, these towns are also a haven for seafood lovers with their fresh seafood markets and restaurants.

Morocco has a rich cultural heritage, woven from a diverse array of influences. The cities hum with the sweet sounds of traditional music, the aromas of herbs and spices, and the sight of artisans crafting intricate designs. In Marrakech, known as the "Red City," tradition meets modern design. The historic medina is a maze of narrow alleyways filled with souks, riads, and mosques, but on the outskirts, modern hotels and shopping centers vie for business. Wander through the vibrant colors and fragrant aromas in the busy Moroccan souks. Find a distinctive piece. Join the culture of bargaining. This is where the community gathers to trade aromatic spices, colorful ceramics, textiles, and jewelry. This is where they share stories and traditions, passing their skills from generation to generation.

A Moroccan tour with like-minded women is everything you’ve dreamed of. It will take you into the heart of the cities and into the tranquil desert to experience serene, natural beauty.

Australian and New Zealand travelers can also travel to Morocco without a visa. All travelers entering Morocco need a passport valid for six months after entry.

The local currency is the Moroccan Dirham, which you can’t buy until you arrive in the country. You can exchange US dollars once you’re in Morocco. Credit cards are not as widely accepted in Morocco as in European cities, so it is wise to carry cash.

Trips to Morocco reviews

This is the trip of a lifetime. It provides the traveler with a glimpse into the wonders of Morocco while enjoying beautiful accommodations and amazing food. The connections I made with the other ladies on this trip have continued beyond our departures. I would travel with any one of them again. Our leader was highly competent and dealt with all issues as they arose. It was a highly enjoyable trip.
