EXPERIENCE - TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Reservation & Payment:

Your place on this trip will be reserved after paying the Deposit Amount. You agree to pay the Total Trip Cost, which includes the Deposit Amount and the Final Payment amount by their respective Due Dates. With the exception of refunds allowed due to government imposed Covid-19 restrictions (see Cancellation Policy below), all payments are non-refundable, and you commit to make all future payments until the Total Trip Cost is paid in full.

Trip Minimums and Maximums:

Each trip has a specified minimum and maximum number of participants that can be found on the trip’s page on our website. If the minimum number of participants is not met within 60 days of the trip start date, we may need to cancel or reschedule the trip. Please do not purchase non-refundable airfare or incur other non-refundable costs until you have been informed by us that the minimum number of participants has been met.

Accommodation:

All our trips are organized and priced based on single occupancy. If you’re traveling with a friend or relative and would prefer to save some money by sharing a room, please select a Shared Room option at checkout.

Occasionally, when we stay in private Chateaux properties that are older homes, some rooms might share a bathroom. You will always be informed of this beforehand and normally we will offer a price reduction to all those who agree to stay in rooms that share a bathroom.

Health & Fitness:

Our trips are available to anyone in good health and who has good mobility. On most trips, you’ll need to be able to walk approximately 3 miles per day, sometimes over uneven pathways, and climb stairs over the course of a day. If you are unable to do so, please notify us.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellation due to government imposed Covid-19 restrictions: Customers who reserve a trip with a deposit payment are entitled to a full refund if, due to COVID-19-related travel restrictions imposed by the relevant government authorities in your home country or in the trip destination country, the trip is cancelled or postponed or you are prohibited from traveling. If such Covid-related restrictions require us to postpone or cancel the trip or prohibit you from traveling, you will have the option of a) joining us on the rescheduled trip at a later date (we will make every effort to pick new dates that work for everyone), b) applying your payment(s) towards a different trip, or c) receiving a full refund

Cancellation by You for all other situations: Because of our up-front costs organizing the trip and pre-paying hotels and other vendors, we can’t give you a refund if your plans change or you are unable to travel because of health issues, work or family commitments, financial hardship or any other reason other than the above-mentioned government imposed Covid-19 restrictions. Furthermore, you are obligated to make all payments until the Total Trip Cost is paid in full. This policy is the only way we can maintain the small group size and level of service we provide. Travel Insurance is the only mechanism that can reimburse you if you are unable to join the trip.

Cancellation by Us for all other situations: If we have to reschedule or cancel a trip for a reason unrelated to a Covid-19 government restriction, we will offer you the option of a) joining us on the rescheduled trip at a later date (we will make every effort to pick new dates that work for everyone), b) applying your payment(s) towards a different trip, or c) receiving a full refund.

Travel Insurance:

We strongly recommend that anyone traveling with us purchase Travel Insurance to protect you (and us) from unforeseen events that may prevent you from joining or completing the trip. (For more information about purchasing travel insurance, see our Travel Insurance page, or buy your own insurance from a trusted source).

Trip Cancellation Insurance: Trip Cancellation Insurance reimburses you for out-of-pocket and committed expenses in the event you are unable to travel as planned (for one of the reasons covered by your policy – usually health or natural disaster related. It is important that you read and understand the coverage a Trip Cancellation policy does and does not provide). A Cancel for Any Reason rider will provide reimbursement (often up to 75%) if you cancel for a reason other than a covered reason. Because you are committed to pay the Total Trip Cost, if you cannot join the trip for some unexpected reason, you will still be obligated to pay the Total Trip Cost out-of-pocket if you do not purchase the appropriate Trip Cancellation Insurance. Note: When you purchase Trip Cancellation Insurance, obtain sufficient insurance to cover the Total Trip Cost plus your airfare (estimated if you have not already bought a ticket) plus any other expenses.

Travel Medical Insurance: If your health insurance does not cover you while you’re in the foreign country you visit with GG2P, we require that you purchase travel medical insurance that covers you for the length of your trip. Travel medical insurance is temporary coverage that pays for emergency medical expenses, evacuations, and provides 24/7 assistance to help you when you’re traveling. Travel medical insurance is required so you and our trip leaders can rest assured that you’ll be taken care of should the unforeseen happen.

Vaccinations and Other Health Tests:

Some countries require vaccinations and/or other health tests (e.g. negative PCR test) as a requirement for entering the country. We require everyone traveling with us to conform to the entry requirements of each country we visit. While it’s everyone’s right to decide whether or not they receive a vaccination or perform any other health-related procedure, the failure to or decision not to meet the entry requirements of a country will prohibit you from joining the trip and does not qualify as a travel restriction that is the basis for a refund. Travel Insurance, especially cancel for any reason insurance, is the only way you can be reimbursed in these situations.

Please review the CDC website for the recommendations and guidance they provide depending on which country you are joining us in. To help ensure your immunity, the CDC recommends that you get any vaccinations at least 1 month before you travel.

Conduct:

For the duration of the trip, you are expected to conduct yourself in a respectful and non-disruptive manner towards the other women on the trip, the trip leaders and guides, and anyone else we come in contact with during the trip. If, in the sole discretion of the GG2P trip leader, you are deemed to engage in abusive, disrespectful and/or disruptive behavior, you will be warned once that such behavior must cease. If, in the sole discretion of the GG2P trip leader, you continue the abusive, disrespectful and/or disruptive behavior, you may be removed from the trip and there will be no refund. If you are removed from the trip, you will be responsible for organizing and paying for all subsequent expenses related to your return home from the place of your removal.

Documentation:

Don’t forget your Passport! It’s the one item that’s tough to replace. Please be sure you have enough empty pages without stamps in your passport and that it is valid for 6 months after the date you return from your trip.
