Overview
There's a moment just before sunset in the Arabian desert when everything turns gold. The sky deepens into amber, sand grains glow softly beneath your feet, and even the silence seems touched by warmth. It's a moment that asks nothing of you but gives you everything. What might happen if you allowed yourself to experience moments like these? The Arabian Gulf is often imagined as a place of extremes. Shimmering skylines or endless deserts, modern luxury or ancient tradition. Yet behind these contrasts lies something beautifully elusive. Something quieter and more mysterious, that only reveals itself when you slow down enough to notice. This journey invites you into that quieter place. We'll wander neighborhoods that existed long before the skyscrapers. Women whose stories open a door to the heart of their world will guide you. We'll sit together beneath desert stars, learning the language of stillness. In Abu Dhabi, we'll explore spaces that bridge past and future, and in Oman, find a coastline where the mountains whisper to the sea. Every stop along the way has been carefully chosen. A contemporary hotel rooted deeply in Dubai’s pulse. A desert camp where the world fades away, leaving only space, sand, and sky. A seaside retreat in Muscat, fragrant with frankincense and cooled by ocean breezes. We'll travel differently- more slowly and intentionally, allowing ourselves to be moved, surprised, and perhaps quietly changed. It is about discovering places you never expected and reconnecting with a part of yourself you always knew was there.

FAQs
What airport should I fly into?
You should fly into Dubai International Airport (DXB). It's approximately 14 kilometers from Downtown Dubai, where our accommodation, The Dubai EDITION, is located. A private transfer will meet you at the airport.
For departure flights, you have two options. Zayed International Airport (AUH) in Abu Dhabi is only a 30-minute drive away and offers many onward flights each day. Alternatively, Dubai is about a 1.5-hour drive away. Either way, we'll arrange a private transfer that aligns with your flight time.
When should I arrive?
The trip officially starts on November 7th, but if you're traveling across an ocean to get to Dubai, consider arriving a day early to allow time for relaxation and settling in. If you do decide to arrive early, you can book directly on the website under the Add-ons section. We'll ensure that you are kept in the same room throughout the beginning of the trip.
What should I pack?
We'll have a Zoom call about 6 weeks before the trip starts to discuss all that information and give you a packing list. Here is a great website that we love that will help you with packing and travel trips.
What is the weather like in November?
In November, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Muscat experience warm, sunny days with average highs around 88°F (31°C), cooler evenings near 66°F (19°C), and minimal rainfall, making it an ideal time for outdoor activities and exploration.
Do I need a visa to enter these countries?
Great news—traveling to the UAE (Dubai and Abu Dhabi) is pretty straightforward! Many nationalities, including U.S. and much of Europe, can get a free visa on arrival that lets you stay for up to 30 days.
Oman also makes it easy with an electronic visa (eVisa) that you can apply for online before your trip—it’s quick, simple, and saves you airport stress. Since rules can change, we recommend checking the latest requirements for your passport before you travel. However, if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out and we'll help sort things out.
What is the activity level of this trip?
We require that everyone traveling with Girls' Guide be able to comfortably walk 3–5 miles per day unassisted, and without difficulty, can navigate stairs, uneven streets or paths, and occasional steep terrain. Most of our trips require this level of physical mobility and fitness, especially when visiting historic towns and landmarks where vehicle access is limited and walking often offers the best experience.
Additionally, some of the 4 and 5-star boutique or historic hotels we stay in do not have elevators and may require climbing stairs to get to your room or access other facilities in the hotel.
