The trip officially starts the afternoon of February 18th, but if you are travelling across an ocean to get to Finland you may want to consider arriving a day or two early, so you have time to relax and adjust to the local time zone. Why not join us for our 3 day pre-trip extension.

In February, Finland and Norway experience cold winter weather. Temperatures in Finland typically range from -10°F to 14°F, while in Norway, it can vary between 14°F and 32°F, with coastal areas being milder. Snow is common, especially in northern regions.
U.S. citizens do not need a visa to enter Norway or Finland for tourist stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day period.
Beginning in Q4 2026, travelers from visa-exempt countries (including the U.S., Canada, and Australia) must obtain ETIAS before entering Schengen countries. No action is needed yet. We’ll share details and how to apply closer to the launch date.
