What’s your cancellation policy?

Risk-free booking for COVID-related events

Customers who register and reserve a trip with a deposit payment after July 1, 2020 are entitled to a full refund if, due to COVID-19-related travel restrictions imposed by the relevant government authorities in your home country or in the trip destination country, the trip is cancelled or postponed or you are prohibited from traveling. If such Covid-related restrictions require us to postpone or cancel the trip or prohibit you from traveling, you will have the option of a) joining us on the rescheduled trip at a later date (we will make every effort to pick new dates that work for everyone), b) applying your payment(s) towards a different trip, or c) receiving a full refund.

* Note: Many countries require inoculations and/or other health tests (e.g. negative PCR test) as a requirement for entering the country. We require everyone traveling with us to conform to the entry requirements of each country we visit. While it is everyone’s right to decide whether or not they want to receive a vaccination or perform any other required health-related procedure, whether it’s for Covid-19 or any other contagious disease, the failure to or decision not to meet the entry requirements of a country does not qualify as a travel restriction that is the basis for a refund. Further if you get sick yourself or a family member does from Covid or any other disease, before the trip departs or during it you will need to have your own medical and trip cancellation insurance to cover any costs incurred. All trips that are moving forward are not refundable. We are making our decisions on where to travel based on which country is open and has protective Covid measure in place. We are following all best practices put forward by the largest travel companies and associations such as ASTA which we belong to.

We all hope and pray that 2021 will bring an end to COVID-19 and usher in a safe and joyous return to normal. The roll-out of numerous vaccines is certainly encouraging news. We want everyone to be able to plan for an amazing 2021 (and beyond), filled with family, friends and travel, without worrying about things we can’t control.

Cancellation policy for non-COVID-related events

Because of our up-front costs organizing the trips and pre-paying hotels and other vendors, we can’t give you a refund if your plans change or you are unable to travel because of health issues, work or family commitments, financial hardship or any other reason other than the above-mentioned government imposed Covid-19 restrictions. Furthermore, you are obligated to make all payments until the Total Trip Cost is paid in full. This policy is the only way we can maintain the small group size and luxurious level of service we provide. Travel Insurance, particularly cancel for any reason insurance, is the only mechanism that can reimburse you if you are unable to join the trip. See our Travel Insurance page for more information and recommendations on purchasing travel insurance, or buy your own insurance from a trusted source.

In the highly unusual event that Girls’ Guide to Paris has to reschedule or cancel a trip for a reason unrelated to a Covid-19 government restriction, we will offer you the option of a) Joining us on the rescheduled trip at a later date (we will make every effort to pick new dates that work for everyone), b) applying your payment(s) towards a different trip, or c) receiving a full refund.
