The Most Beautiful Weddings in Paris

When you think of Paris, romance immediately jumps to mind. There are so many ways to celebrate romance in this city, but getting married here is surely the most romantic of all. Here are a few examples of weddings in Paris that I’ve planned that have really stood out.

Small and Simple

Some of the most romantic and heartfelt weddings we’ve seen are elopements and intimate weddings. Singapore-based Peter and Belinda decided on a whim to come to Paris for an elopement wedding. With just two weeks notice, we helped them prepare everything for their special day. We were able to secure a private room at one of the couple’s favorite Parisian restaurants, where they exchanged vows they had written themselves.

Intimate and Personal

Austrian-based Amber and David came for an intimate Paris wedding in the Rodin Museum gardens with their immediate families. During the ceremony, each of their guests participated in blessing the couple’s union. The bride is a professional cyclist, so the photographer was inspired to play off the bikes parked in the streets of Paris!

With a Unique Flair

When we first met this UK couple, they warned us that they don’t do anything in the traditional way—and that was very true! They came with their adorable 1-year-old son and about 100 guests to celebrate on a very snowy Saturday in December.

In addition to being a big fan of hats (very Rat Pack!), the groom is a big music connoisseur, so music was essential to their day. There was a variety of musical entertainment throughout the day at the Maison France-Amériques. Gospel singers added some soul to the ceremony, and a jazz band provided atmosphere for the cocktail hour. But the highlight of the evening, which was kept as a surprise for the guests, was a special performance by world-champion beat-boxer Eklips, who got the entire crowd up and on the dance floor.

The bride loves French cheese (and how can one not, we ask?!), so the chef created a special pièce montée of cheeses for her. The attention to detail included incorporating the salons’ beautiful chandeliers in the decor theme, with alternating tall centerpieces and silver candelabras as centerpieces. And even the littlest guests received big attention: there were a good number of young children in attendance, so they had their own special minitable, and a children’s entertainer kept them occupied while the adults danced the night away.

In Grand Parisian Style

This was a beautiful wedding for a beautiful couple who decided to embrace the luxe side of Paris for their wedding. The ceremony and reception took place at the Hôtel d’Evreux, a breathtaking venue that overlooks the iconic place Vendôme.

For the decor, we decided to play off the very classic look of the salons with more modern furnishings for the reception room—glass tables and transparent chairs created a jewel-box effect. Since the bride is allergic to flowers, we used greenery and submerged orchids for decoration. Lavender and purple tones were a running theme, with Ladurée macarons in lavender boxes and purple pashminas as favors for the guests. And not to be left out, the groom received a special gift from his bride—an album of boudoir-style photos she had taken on a previous trip to Paris. Très chic!
