The Launch Party

The new e-magazine Girls’ Guide to Paris ET PLUS has launched worldwide! To celebrate our new magazine about Paris and the rest of the world, an official launch party will take place at the close of the exciting fall fashion season in Paris in October. This fabulous event will not only celebrate the launch of the e-mag but also benefit two wonderful charity organizations. Guests and readers worldwide will have the opportunity to win a unique selection of luxurious French items and experiences while helping us raise money for Ubuntu Africa and Médecins sans Frontières (Doctors without Borders). It will be a win for everyone: raise money for children with HIV, take home great prizes and have a fantastic night celebrating with gg2p!

Hôtel Vendôme.

Ubuntu Africa has always been near and dear to our hearts. It was founded by Whitney Johnson in 2007, with the aid of Doni Belau (gg2p’s founder), in response to her experience volunteering at a South African orphanage, where she saw children die because of a lack of resources. Ubuntu Africa provides resources and services to more than 200 HIV-positive children in Khayelitsha, South Africa.
Médecins sans Frontières (Doctors without Borders) is a humanitarian organization that delivers medical assistance to people in nearly 60 countries. Doctors, nurses and other medical professionals volunteer their time and help people access medical care regardless of race, religion, creed or political affiliation. They work closely with Ubuntu on the ground in South Africa and often refer children to UBA’s health center.

On October 3, our presenting sponsor will be the historic Hôtel Vendôme, with award-winning cuisine provided by Chef Marie, who is known for his daring culinary creations. He and his culinary team will be providing a light tasting menu with a selection of designer cocktails and Champagne. The Hôtel Vendôme has gone from royalty to private residence to a seat for government. It was even the residence of the ambassador to Texas when Texas was a sovereign country. The Place Vendôme itself has always been an exclusive address, filled with three centuries of art, culture, history and elegance. It is also the location for some of the most luxurious boutiques in the world, such as Dior, Chopard and Chanel, which are just a few steps away.
The launch event sponsors also include Perrin Paris and Ann Gérard Parfums, with more to be announced soon. As a truly unique five-star venue at which to celebrate our launch, we anticipate a memorable evening of celebration and giving that is uniquely Girls’ Guide to Paris, and more.

Some highlights of the online charity raffle:
