French Fashion: Seen on the Streets of Paris

SOTS881

Blue: the color of the ocean, the color of the sky, basically the color of summer and a running French fashion trend on the streets of Paris this summer.
Cobalt blue seems to be a favorite of Parisians, led by blogger Vanessa from Une Armoire pour Deux, who wore a voluminous blue skirt, hitting two trends at once. This particular shade of blue is quite hypnotizing, and you find your gaze following the color for longer than what is considered polite. It’s great for the streets when you want to make a statement and, I can imagine, captivating for evening wear in the French capital as well.
The hue looked particularly great on a smartly dressed lady in George V. She wore a shocking-blue well-tailored jacket, subverting and playing with traditional and new, in an informed and cultured way, as the Parisians do so well with clothes.
There were many other hues—royal blue knits, baby blue leather and turquoise heels flitting past on the boulevards—making for a blue, blue summer.
