Day 1: Sunday September 29, 2024

As you touch down at Vancouver International Airport, the beginning of your adventure unfolds seamlessly. Grab a taxi at the taxi stand, ensuring a hassle-free journey that takes just under half an hour.

Arrive in the heart of downtown Vancouver, where L'Hermitage Hotel  awaits to welcome you. Check-in and take a moment to relax and settle into the luxurious surroundings.

Later in the day, around 4 pm, we'll gather for an immersive walking tour of Vancouver's jewel – Stanley Park. Explore the lush landscapes, old-growth forests, and scenic waterfront that make this park a true urban oasis. As the sun begins to set, we'll embark on a journey that intertwines nature and city life.

Following our exploration, indulge in a culinary delight as we head to dinner at the hotel's restaurant L' Orangerie. Here, the vibrant flavors of Vancouver will complement the camaraderie of our group, creating a perfect ending to your first day in this captivating city.

Day 2: Monday September 30, 2024

Start your day on a delightful note with a light breakfast at the hotel before embarking on an adventure on The Prince of Whales whale-watching Cruise through the enchanting Gulf and San Juan Islands in search of magnificent Orcas, majestic humpback whales, and a myriad of marine wonders, including sea lions, porpoises, and perhaps a sighting of a bald eagle or two.

In the afternoon, our journey takes us to Granville Island, where we'll rendezvous with our private Vancouver Foodie Tour guide. Get ready to explore the region through the lens of your taste buds. Indulge in exceptional bites that showcase the diverse culinary delights of Vancouver.

After a flavorsome afternoon, we'll return to the hotel for some well-deserved rest and relaxation. Whether you fancy unwinding at the spa, cycling through the picturesque Stanley Park, or indulging in some retail therapy on Robson Street – the choice is yours.

Day 3: Tuesday, October 1, 2024

Wake up feeling refreshed and rejuvenated after a restful night's sleep. Begin your day with a leisurely breakfast at the hotel's restaurant, setting the stage for an exciting day of exploration. 

In the mid-morning, gather in the hotel lobby as we embark on an adventure to Vancouver's North Shore, a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. Our first stop is the renowned Capilano Suspension Bridge, an exhilarating outdoor experience that has captivated guests since 1889. Before reaching the bridge, we'll visit the Capilano Salmon Hatchery to delve into the fascinating world of Vancouver's iconic fish. 

Prepare for breathtaking views as we ascend to the peak of Grouse Mountain via the scenic Skyride Gondola. Lunch awaits at Altitudes Bistro, providing a casual yet scenic dining experience. 

Surrounded by stunning natural scenery, explore endless hiking trails and witness the impressive Lumberjack shows. The highlight of the day includes observing Grinder and Coola, the resident grizzly bears, in their natural habitat.

Post-breakfast, our journey takes us to the exquisite Butchart Gardens, Butchart Gardens, a world famous 55 acre display garden was created by Jennie Butchart in 1909. Imagine the skill and creative spirit that transformed a limestone quarry into a National Historic Site of Canada. Colors, scents, and artistry will awaken all of your senses as we tour this magnificent garden. Pause midway at the original Butchart family residence for Afternoon Tea at the Dining room. Savor a selection of delectable treats and aromatic teas in the elegant surroundings creating a moment of pure indulgence.

Following our Afternoon Tea, let’s spend a little more time strolling though the Gardens and then back to the hotel to unwind and relax. Whether it’s a leisurely stroll through the charming neighborhood or a moment of tranquility in your room, take the time to embrace the serenity.

Traversing the charming Inner Harbor comes next, offering leisurely strolls along the waterfront. Take in the iconic sights along the way. Immerse yourself in the rich history of British Columbia at the Royal BC Museum before embarking on a picturesque drive through Victoria's oldest residential neighborhood, James Bay.

The lively ambiance of Fisherman’s Wharf awaits as the next enchanting stop, with its colorful houseboats and local eateries beckoning exploration. Seek tranquility in Beacon Hill Park's lush greenery before delving into the vibrant culture of Canada's oldest Chinatown.

As our scenic drives unveil historic streets and coastal beauty, a carefully arranged lunch break allows you to savor the finest culinary offerings. 

After a wonderful day, we will head back to the hotel for some rest and relaxation before our final farewell dinner together at Cafe Brio, an Italian inspired rustic west coast restaurant, being a Victoria favorite for over 25 years.

Day 7: Saturday, October 5, 2024

It's bittersweet to announce our incredible trip is ending. Following a delightful breakfast, our next adventure awaits as we board the ferry back to Vancouver. If you are flying home tonight please make sure you have  booked an evening flight.

Rest assured, transportation to the airport is easily accessible at the Vancouver ferry terminal. Taxis will be readily available to ensure a smooth journey.

The bonds formed during our exploration promise to evolve into lasting friendships, adding an extra layer of significance to the journey we will have shared.

The trip officially starts on the afternoon of September 29th but consider arriving a day early so you have time to relax before the trip starts. If you do decide to arrive early, please let us know and we will take care of your booking and make sure that you stay in the same room as you will be in when the trip starts. 

At the end of September and early October, temperatures typically range from 50 to 68 degrees Fahrenheit during the day and may drop to around 46 to 57 degrees Fahrenheit in the evening.
