Overview

Portugal is a unique destination for people who are interested in nature, history, stunning landscapes, food and wine as well as cultural experiences. Portugal is one of the oldest nations in Europe and has a rich history to explore through the lens of its food & wine and hence its culture.   Portugal has nearly 500 miles of awe-inspiring coastlines and beaches and boasts a near perfect climate. Feast and be dazzled by tile art, gorgeous pottery and fascinating history. We will explore phenomenal landscapes, medieval buildings, castles, and cathedrals. We will dine on authentic cuisine; learn to tell the difference between an Albariño, a Vinho Verde and a Verdelho while basking in the near perfect climate Portugal boasts. Sound like a fairytale dream?   Laurie Forster, The Wine Coach, whom you may know from her many TV appearances will be with us to guide us in our wine and culinary experiences in Portugal plus a GG2P guide and facilitator will also be on hand to make your tour experience as flawless as possible. Weather in June ranges from 79-87.

FAQs

Plan on flying into the Lisbon Airport. Since the tour ends in Porto, you can either fly out of Porto with a connection to Lison or another European airport.

The trip officially starts on the afternoon of June 21st, but if you are traveling across an ocean to get to Lisbon, you may want to consider arriving a day early so you have time to relax and get acclimated to the local time zone. If you do decide to arrive early, please let us know and we will take care of booking your room for you and make sure that you are kept in the same room as you will be in when the trip starts.

We will have a zoom call about 6 weeks before the trip starts to discuss all that information and give you a packing list. Here is a great website that we love that will help you with packing and travel trips.

The weather at the end of June is going to be AMAZING! Expect temperatures to be in the mid to high 70's. Please bring a light sweater in case it gets cool at night. Don't forget to bring a hat for the sunny days we are out and about.
