Insiders New York: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and Hudson

Hop in a taxi and head over to the Standard East Village any time after the hotel official check-in time at 3pm. Rest, relax and recover from your journey or take a little walk around the neighborhood.

Your guides, Holly & Doni will meet you around 6:30 p.m. for drinks at the hotel and then we'll head out in the neighborhood to a quintessential New York LES wine bar that serves excellent bites - WildAir. 

For those too jazzed to sleep after our meal, we can head down to SummitTov* for a dizzying look at the lights of this great city.

Rest will come easy tonight.

Today after breakfast at our hotel we'll venture out to get our foundations in order, namely bras - ladies. Having a proper bra fitting at a 60-year-old classic NYC business is a fun experience. And we all know there's nothing like a well-fitting bra to make every outfit look better!

Next we'll head over to the Tenement Museum to take a special tour focusing on immigrant women. This is one of the best as well as most interactive museums in New York. 

Afterwards we'll walk down the block to Russ and Daughters for lunch enjoying some of the best deli food in the city. This is the place to try smoked fish or anything you fancy in the Jewish deli milieu. 

This afternoon we'll leave free for shopping or exploring on your own or as an opportunity to rest back at the hotel. 

Tonight we'll head out for an evening walking and tasting tour as we get to know the ever changing culture of this neighborhood through our tastebuds. 

Finally tonight we'll have the opportunity to experience a sound bath. You'll find this extremely relaxing as well as centering after an action packed day. 

Today you can sleep and have breakfast at your leisure. Today is our BIG shopping day which will be curated personally for you. No hunting for sizes, everything will be set up and ready for you based on your own style, shape and preferences. 

Some of you depending on your needs will head uptown to be fitted at Bergdorf Goodman for that ultimate splurge dress or capsule wardrobe. Others will be going downtown to explore a more free-style, designed-for-you, atelier shopping experience.

We'll meet midday in midtown for a Korean lunch in Korea town. When you are not shopping with Holly (your own personal stylist) you'll be pampered at our favorite Korean spa. Here you'll be scrubbed until your skin feels like a baby's and you'll relax in the whirlpool and steam in the various saunas and steam baths. Choose from a massage or a facial - based on your desires. 

Today is your day to feel like a princess. 

After some down time back at our hotel, we'll walk ever so slightly north to sit down to family style Italian meal. Something NY does best. 

Your morning is free to relax or explore. Around 11:30 we'll venture over to Brooklyn, the area that put the HIP in hipster. 

We'll start at the Japan Village food hall for an early lunch where we'll sample all kinds of different Japanese foods. It's like taking a quick trip to Tokyo. After our lunch we'll shop Industry City with its plethora of reformed factory buildings that some of the most unique outposts in town. It's an amalgamation of artists and artisans and you'll find it truly inspiring. This is the antithesis of mall shopping!

Next, we'll go to Boerum Hill and Fort Greene to shop a little area that Doni came to know when she lived in the area. You'll find gift shops, antique shops, homewares and of course clothing galore. We just love this little stretch because the stores are simply darling and unique! 

In true celeb fashion we'll ask our driver to take our purchases back to our hotel so we can delight in a light and early meal at French Louie, a cozy French Bistro. 

After dinner we'll see a musical or artistic performance depending on what's showing. We really enjoy both the Pioneer Works programs or music at National Sawdust. There is no end of cool live performances available in Brooklyn nightly and we'll be sure to pick the very best.

Today we are headed uptown for a Gilded Age Mansion Tour to see how the Astors and their ilk lived back in the late 19th century. 

Then we'll take the ferry to Long Island City to have pizza in Astoria, Queens. Milkflower Pizza is renowned for their gourmet wood fired pizzas and you can't come to NYC and not have a pizza! 

After lunch we'll visit the Nocuchi Museum a small but impactful museum beautifully curated with the great artist's work. 

We'll head back into the LES to give you some free time in the city for last minute shopping or relaxing. 

Our farewell dinner will be at the cooler than cool Chinese Tuxedo Restaurant. Their name comes from NYC's first fine dining restaurant in Chinatown and features a menu of reimagined traditional Chinese banquet dishes.

Sadly, it's time to say our goodbye's. Hop in a cab at your leisure to JFK or LGA.

Late morning we'll check out of our hotel and jump on a train up to Hudson, NY. 

Upon arrival we'll be picked up and transported to our Bed & Breakfasts, the Hudson B n B and The Inn at 34, which are conveniently across the street from one another. Cute quaint and charming, right away you'll feel like you are miles away from the hustle and bustle of NYC. 

After unpacking we'll take a stroll around town to get our bearings being sure to stop in the Spotty Dog Books & Ale for a peruse and a drink. 

Tonight, we'll feast at Feast & Floret where we will toast to crispy autumn air and our good fortune. 

Rest in this morning and arise late. We'll take a brisk walk around town stopping in at the stores we spotted last night. 

Then we'll head over to Café Mutton for a yummy lunch. 

The afternoon will be for antiquing at some of the hot spots in town as well as a big warehouse. There is also a superb auction house where we can stop in for a look. 

After some rest we'll have our final meal together at the swoon-worthy Swoon Kitchenbar for dinner.

After our breakfast and en route back to NYC via train we'll visit Olana House, one of the most spectacular historic Hudson Valley homes built in the 19th century which is open to visitors. 

You'll gasp over the view as well as all the furnishings purchased from the original owner, Frank Church's trips abroad. Mr. Church was a well known Hudson Valley artist. 

Once back in the city, why not stay for a few more days on your own or head back home on a late afternoon flight.
