The trip officially starts the afternoon of February 27th, but if you are travelling across an ocean to get to Finland, you may want to consider arriving a day or two early so you have time to relax and adjust to the local time zone. Why not join us for our three-day pre-trip extension?
We will have a Zoom call about 6 weeks before the trip starts to discuss all that information and give you a packing list. HERE s a great website we love that will help you with packing and travel tips. In the meantime, plan to pack warm layers including thermal underwear, fleece or wool mid-layers, and a waterproof insulated coat, along with waterproof boots and gloves to stay comfortable in the cold and snow. Don’t forget a hat, neck gaiter, and swimsuit for sauna visits.
In February, Finland and Norway experience cold winter weather. Temperatures in Finland typically range from -10°F to 14°F, while in Norway, it can vary between 14°F and 32°F, with coastal areas being milder. Snow is common, especially in northern regions.
U.S. citizens do not need a visa to enter Norway or Finland for tourist stays of up to 90 days within 180 days.
Beginning in Q4 2026, travelers from visa-exempt countries (including the U.S., Canada, and Australia) must obtain an ETIAS before entering Schengen countries. No action is needed yet. We’ll share details and how to apply closer to the launch date.
