No one could have planned the matchless labyrinth of beauty, layers of history, and utter charm of the 1400 year old city of Venice. This extraordinary sanctuary resting on a lagoon is impossible to describe in words and can best be taken in through wandering and gazing at the architecture, most of which happens to be an eminent monument of some sort. Another way to see and experience the city is via the Grand Canal, yet this seems to be a great source of debate. To take the “overpriced” gondola ride, or not, that is the question. One thing not in question is the richness of times past, exquisiteness, and charisma that oozes from the little streets of Venice.
