I've had the priviledge to stay / eat / drink / spa at the Peninsula many times over the years and it has never let me down. Although Felix is now quiet all the time as the trendies have moved on, the bar still has the most amazing view over HK and the food still excels. It's worth a trip up to Felix just to use the bathrooms ( and ask a male to escort you to the Boys too! ). The rooms are spacious, luxurious and plush but it's the staff and the little added extras that make all the difference and keep me coming back!

One thing that Hong Kong does well is swanky bars and restaurants with spectacular views, and Felix is no exception. The hotel itself is a venue of palatial grandeur and you must be dressed appropriately just to fit in, if not get thrown out! Felix has a restaurant, although I didn't eat there, so cannot comment on the food. As you walk through the restaurant and climb the stairs to the separate bar, there it is again, that spectacular view of the Hong Kong skyline. The cocktails are as fabulous as you would expect from such a venue. Highly recommended.

Aqua Spirit also has a Junk ( old chinese boat ) that sails up and down the harbour every night for cocktail hour. If you only have limited time in HK this is a great way to view the city with a glass pre dinner.

Dragon I is a great bar with a snobby door policy favouring ex pats and big spenders...... so dress to impress and have an amazing cocktail. The Dj will be spinning handbag friendly tracks to dance to and as I've been known to dance on the tables here, I'd recommend you have a go too! Dont arrive early though, as it doesn't get busy till after 11pm but be prepared to have a great time until dawn. When it first opened a few years back, it was particularly cool to be seen here, but it's remained popular and packed every night as it's got a great atmosphere and eye candy.
