This was one of the highlights of our trip! While staying on the main island (puerto rico) we thought we would venture to Culebra for fun and I am so glad we did. How did we get there? 1st, we checked the ferry schedule in Farjardo and got directions to get there. Paid for parking I think like 10 dollars then we got round trip tickets to ride the ferry for 2.50 each way. When we got to Culebra we were greeted by taxi's and asked them to take us to Flamenco beach. The taxi ride was 5 dollars flat rate each. It was so pretty. I would recommend packing snacks and drinks because they do not have a place to eat on the beach but they did have a kiosk (mobile cart) that was serving up sandwiches and stuff. Also bring your snorkel gear, because the water is so amazing and very calm, suntain lotion, towel and any other beach gear that is available. When the taxi dropped us off (it was a white van and there was about 6 passengers that we made friends on the way to the beach) we asked him to be there at a certain time to take us back to the ferry. Caution the ferry only runs a couple of times so if you do not make 2 of the departing trips you will have to stay on the island untiil the morning, which I kind of wish we had next time I will have to rent room in advance so we can explore the island a bit more.
